Sunday at the Park

sunday about noon I was concerned with the weather, it was breezy, cloudy, looked like it might rain. I was meeting the Ingram family at 4:00 at a neighborhood park. my hope was at least no rain.

I arrived a little early to find the park was empty. with weather like we were having I was not surprised. just about then I noticed the sun, the clouds were clearing, things were really looking up as this amazing family arrived.

everything went super smooth, we had a lot of fun, got some great pictures, and time flew by. it is amazing when you are really having fun how fast time goes.

Friends & Family on a Sunday Afternoon

I had the opportunity to take pictures last sunday in the forest lake area of lincoln. I knew it would be a near perfect area with a pond, lots of tall grass, great colored fall trees, and just as it has been, the weather was perfect.
we had a lot of fun walking around the pond and a few group shots later everyone really wanted to see the photos, and that is when the day got so much better. as the boys looked at the pictures they would see who was in the picture and say "thats about you" and point to the person who was on the screen. soon everyone joined in with the boys, pointing, saying "thats about you" it was so much fun the room was filled with laughter.
to me that is what its all about. friends or family getting together and having a super time. and photos that I took bringing laughter, and providing a memory of the time together

Here it begins. Allow me to introduce, the James family

so I have been taking picture for several years now of many different things, I love shooting. does not matter really what it is but portrait and sports are my favorites. with that being said a new adventure is well underway. an adventure I see though my lens. one of fun images, not overly posed, of people having fun.
I asked our good friends if they would be the first real portrait shoot I did. since they were given the run around from a local photographer who would not set up a time for them, they gladly agreed to let me.

I must say I was nervous, worried about so many things, good locations, lighting, if the two boys would work with me, everything was freaking me out. I had my small list which helped, but instincts seemed to take over. just over a hour later I was done. things went AWESOME! Mark who does not like to have his picture taken said "it was painless"
we all had a blast and time flew by very quickly. when we were finished I knew this is something I want to do all the time. I am in love again.
I have to thank my wife, kashoan for her support while I travel this new path. she is right there with me, by my side. I could not do it without her.
